Umut Dağ


Umut Dağ had an impressive start as a feature film director with both a great worldwide festival presence and a number of awards he received. His feature film KUMA opened the 2012 Berlinale 'Panorama' section and has been released in France, Spain, UK, Turkey, Czech Republic, Slowakia, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Romania, Hungary, Taiwan, Switzerland, Brasil and Germany. For his short length feature PAPA, Umut received the German 'First Steps Award' and the award 'Best Austrian Short' at the 'Diagonale 2011'.

Filming on REBECCA

REBECCA is the working title of the Bodensee-TATORT, produced by SWR and Maran Film. It is Umuts first TATORT shooting, starring as main cast will be seen Eva Mattes and Sebastian Bezzel.

UK cinema release with KUMA on August 16th

Filming on CRACKS IN CONCRETE completed

Umut Dağ has finished shooting on his second feature film RISSE IM BETON which is being produced by Michael Katz at Wega Film, Vienna. The script has been written by Petra Ladinigg and Umut Dag.
