Caro Cult grew up near Hanover. At the age of 18, she moved to Berlin to pursue her career in the art and film scene. There, she initially appeared in music videos, short films and Henning Gronkowski’s independent project ‘Teens on Age’. Her long-standing collaboration with the photographer Oliver Rath, whose muse she became and with whom she shared a close friendship, also had a formative influence on her.
She first came to public attention through roles in independent productions and made her breakthrough in German cinema with the lead role of Aura in Anika Decker’s hit film “High Society”.
Caro Cult became known to a wider audience through her role as Vera in the third series of the internationally successful series “Babylon Berlin”. This was followed by appearances in productions such as the Kiel-set Tatort, Simon Verhoeven’s feature film “Nightlife” and the fairy-tale film “Die Hexenprinzessin”.
She gained international recognition in 2020 with the Netflix series “Biohackers”, in which she played one of the central characters. In 2022, she took on the lead role of Paula in the Netflix film “Für Jojo” directed by Barbara Ott, for which she received considerable acclaim. This was followed by further cinema and television productions such as “Immenhof – Das große Versprechen”, “Heribert”, the series “Viktor bringt’s” and “Gerry Star – Der (schlechteste) beste Produzent aller Zeiten”, the film debut “Mel’s Block” as well as numerous other film and TV series projects.
