Jonas Holdenrieder was born in 1999 in Munich and began his screen career as a child, with roles in the Vampirschwestern trilogy and Bora Dagtekin’s Fack Ju Göhte (2013). In 2026, he graduated from the Berlin University of Dramatic Arts “Ernst Busch”.
His breakthrough as an adult came with Mira Thiel’s Rumspringa (2021, Netflix) and Christian Schäfer’s feature Trübe Wolken, which brought him the Max Ophüls Preis for Best Newcomer and the Jupiter Award for Best Actor in 2022. He received the Romy Award in 2021 for his performance in Umut Dağ’s mini-series Am Anschlag – Die Macht der Kränkung, and the New Faces Award for Rumspringa in 2022.

His recent credits include the ZDF series Schlafschafe, the ARD series Disko 76, the feature Obhut, directed by Veronika Hafner, and Club der Dinosaurier for ZDF. He is based in Berlin.
