Mehdi Meskar was born in 1995 in Reggio Calabria, Italy, and holds Italian and Moroccan nationality. He works fluently in French, Italian, Arabic, English and German. He began acting at 15 and developed his craft through theatre work in Italy and France, including productions by Pirandello and commedia dell’arte. His first major screen recognition came with the French web series Les Engagés (Woke, 2017), for which he received Best Actor nominations at both the Rio Web Fest and the Dublin Web Fest. He subsequently appeared in François Ozon’s feature Dans la Maison and in Marianne, the Netflix horror series by Samuel Bodin.

His international profile grew significantly with his role in Randa Chahoud’s feature The Accidental Rebel, feature film Crescendo (director Dror Zahrad), and the Prime Video series Paris Has Fallen (2024). He also appeared in Mehmet Büyükatalay’s Hysteria (2025). He plays one of the lead roles in Netflix series Die Guten und die Toten. He is based in Paris.
