Paul Salisbury was born in Jena, Thuringia, in 1979, the son of an English-speaking German scholar and a German Anglophile. After studying German in Leipzig and studying film in New York, he completed his training as a writer for film and television at the dffb between 2007 and 2010. Since 2010, Paul has worked as a freelance writer for various film and series productions. His screenplay Atlas won the Emder Screenplay Award 2015 and was nominated for the German Screenplay Award 2016 and the German Film Award 2019.
