Sharyhan Osman studied Screenplay at the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film (HFF) München, alongside her career as a singer, where she performed for Disney, with Joko & Klaas and for the Bavarian State Theatre, among others. In addition to writing songs for film and television productions, she also released a record with Sony Music and reached the quarter-finals of Germany’s Eurovision selection show Unser Star für Oslo in 2010.

Her short film screenplays quickly gained recognition on the festival circuit. A Special Day (dir. Muschirf Shekh Zeyn, 2020) screened at the Hofer Filmtage and the New Orleans Film Festival. Killing Bagheera (dir. Muschirf Shekh Zeyn, 2021) was selected for the Cannes Short Film Corner. I See Them Bloom (dir. Mykyta Gibalenko, 2023) premiered at the Max Ophüls Festival in 2024 and led to her first feature film collaboration, Camouflage (dir. Mykyta Gibalenko, ZDF – Das kleine Fernsehspiel), which is set to premiere at an A-List Festival in 2026.

Her television credits include the ZDFneo series Nighties (Network Movie, 2025). She currently has several feature film and television projects in development, including a series for ZDF, scheduled to shoot in 2026; the feature film Baba Bridemaker (Neue Super); an adaptation of Mariana Leky’s bestselling collection Kummer aller Art (dir. Kerstin Polte); and the Vienna-based drama series Major/Minor (Satel Film). Sharyhan has Egyptian roots an is based in Munich.
