Hassan Akkouch was born in Lebanon and grew up in Berlin. Originally a professional dancer, he started acting and later began working as a screenwriter too. His focus is on stories rooted in contemporary diasporic and urban experience with his work spanning series and feature films across major broadcasters and streaming platforms.

Together with Bernd Lange he co-wrote two episodes of the 4 Block prequel Zero (coming to HBO Max in 2026), several episodes of the ARD series Siebzehn (Nordpolaris, 2026, shooting summer 2026). Hassan is co-writing the feature film Santa Habibi together with Alireza Golafshan (Story Garden Film).

He is developing several other projects such as the series High Deck (Legendary Tobis), Coyoten (Ziegler Film), as well as the feature films Der arabische Mann and Kanzler Habibi. Hassan is based in Berlin.
