Doğa Gürer was born in 1992 and trained at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock, graduating in 2018. He has been a member of the Maxim Gorki Theater ensemble in Berlin since then, working with directors Nurkan Erpulat, Yael Ronen, and Oliver Frljić on productions including Dschinns, Blood Moon Blues, Hund Wolf Schakal, and Frankenstein. He has also appeared at the Schaubühne Berlin.
His screen credits include Fatih Akin’s Rheingold, Aslı Özarslan’s feature Ellbogen, Ali Tamim’s Noah, and the Netflix series Eat Pray Bark. His most recent film work includes Balahan Gürel’s feature This is it, Apocalypse (2025). Doğa Gürer works fluently in German, Turkish, English, and Spanish and is based in Berlin.
