Soma Pysall was born in Berlin in 1995 and began her acting career at the age of fifteen. Her early screen credits include the Amazon series Beat and her first leading role in the Australian-German co-production In Your Dreams. She made her breakthrough as the lead in the TNT series Para – Wir sind King (2020), earning the German Television Award for Best Actress, the New Faces Award for Best Young Actress, and the Blue Panther TV & Streaming Award for Best Actress.

Most recently, Soma starred in the Disney+ series City of Blood, directed by Philipp Kadelbach, as well as the feature film Ameisen fressen kein Halva (2025), which was selected for the Tribeca Festival in 2026.

In September 2026, she will premiere at the San Sebastián International Film Festival with the feature film Body of Glass, directed by Naemi Ada, in which she plays the leading role. She has also recently wrapped production on The Good and the Bad, which is set to premiere on Netflix next year.
