Aysima Ergün was born in Berlin in 1994 and trained at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin, graduating in 2020. She has been a member of the ensemble at the Maxim Gorki Theatre since the 2020/21 season and has worked there with the directors Yael Ronen, Nurkan Erpulat, Sebastian Nübling and Sebastian Baumgarten. Her production Bühnenbeschimpfung, directed by Nübling, was named Play of the Year by “Theater heute” in 2023 and nominated for the Mülheim Theatre Festival. The solo show Ellbogen has been praised by critics, and Aysima has been celebrated for her outstanding stage presence.
Her film and television roles include appearances in several seasons of the ZDF series Doppelhaushälfte. She also played the lead role in the WDR/Canal+ series A Better Place and will be part of the ensemble in the miniseries Siebzehn for the ARD. She lives in Berlin.
