Ralf Noack

Ralf Noack’s curiosity and love of experimentation in film, combined with technical finesse, have always led this Dresden-born filmmaker to work on unique film projects.

Whilst studying cinematography at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg, he shot his first international feature film, Blood Trails. In 2012, he was nominated for the Deutscher Kamerapreis (German Cinematography Award) for the stage adaptation of Kasimir und Karoline by Ödön von Horváth.

His work also includes Justus von Dohnanyi’s cinema directorial debut Desaster, the edgy and quirky series Der Metzger (ORF/ARD) for which he was awarded the German Camera Award, the children’s feature film Invisible Sue, the series Die Wespe (Sky) and Cash (HBO/Warner), as well as the Netflix hit Old People.

Ralf Noack lives in Dresden and Berlin.
