Katia Fellin was born in Trient, Italy, and holds both German and Italian nationality. She trained at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, graduating in 2019. with earlier studies at the Musical School Bolzano. Her career spans theatre, film, and television across Germany, Austria, Italy, and Spain, with a strong early stage foundation at the Volksbühne Berlin. Her international film credits include Terrence Malick’s A Hidden Life (2016), Donato Carrisi’s Italian feature I Am the Abyss (2021) and the Spanish-German RTVE/ZDF series Weiss & Morales.
Her German television work includes the Sky crime series Der Pass III, the ZDF series Push, Markus Goller’s Magenta TV series Wild Republic, and Joachim Lang’s feature Führer und Verführer, which received the Munich Film Festival National Audience Award in 2024. Her further recent credits include David Dietl’s feature Feste & Freunde, and Magdalena Mitterhofer’s film Corte (2025), which earned her two awards at the BISFF NOVA festival — Best Film from both jury and critics and the short film Die Truppenärztin (director Björn Grzemba).
