Sogol Faghani was born in Berlin and holds both German and Iranian nationality, speaking Persian as a native language alongside German and English. She trained at the iaf – Internationale Akademie für Filmschauspiel in Berlin, graduating in 2020. Since then she has built a steadily growing career across German-language film and television, with a broad range of credits including Fatih Akin’s feature Rheingold, the ZDFneo series Ruby and the Netflix series Kohlrabenschwarz.

Her recent work includes the ZDF series SpyOn as part of the main cast, the Netflix feature Das Geschenk, and the feature Raging Moms, directed by Sonja Heiss for Wiedemann & Berg. In 2024 she appeared in Wes Anderson’s feature The Phoenician Scheme. Sogol is based in Berlin.
