Catherine De Léan


Catherine De Léan completed her acting training at the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Montréal in 2005. She made her professional debut in 2004 in Europe, where she participated in the production of Jédiwô, a street show played in Saint Malo, Miliau and Brouage, in France. Her film career began with the female lead role in Stéphane Lapointe's movie, LA VIE SECRÈTE DE GENS HEUREUX for which she received the first prize for Best Actress at the Whistler Film Festival. Many other films quickly followed such as À VOS MARQUES!, PARTY, LA CAPTURE and LE BANQUET. In 2012 she was honored from the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television with the "Genie Award" for the Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in NUIT #1. Catherine starred opposite German star Matthias Schweighöfer in his blockbuster SCHLUSSMACHER which has been released by 20th Century Fox of Germany on January 10, 2013.
