Anne Weinknecht

The passion to act had already begun early in ballet classes, which she attended since she was three years old, and it became obvious later in the drama group of her school where she was, besides of acting, also involved in the organisation of costumes, stage design, posters etc. The purchase of her first VCR by her father was an experience that had a crucial impact on her. All of a sudden there was the chance to get to watch a movie as often as she wanted to - long afternoons with a bowl of semolina pudding and the enthusiastic scrutinising of e.g. "The Purple Rose of Cairo" by Woody Allen, "A Chorus Line" or the Marx Brothers contributed to her happiest of moments. Apart from that, she has always been torn between her passion and engagement for ballet, theatre, piano playing, books, horses and languages. When she passed the entrance exam for the Otto-Falckenberg- School after finishing her A-levels, she reached a decision: the cinema halls of this world are still her favourite place to be.
